Become a Rescue Helicopter Volunteer

Do you have a little spare time on your hands?

Have you ever considered becoming a volunteer?

Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience and a great opportunity to meet new friends and provide a valuable service to the local community.

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers operate in three main areas of the rescue helicopter's service: fund raising, conducting tours and guest speakers.  Their involvement helps provide necessary fund-raising and increases the community awareness of this free life-saving service. Occasionally, people with specific skills are required for a one-time task, e.g. carpentry, data entry, etc. The helicopter rescue service relies on these dedicated people to assist in providing an exemplary level of service to south-east Queensland.Harris Family

Becoming a voluteer is easy

All you need is a willingness to learn, a desire to help, a love of meeting people, a neat presentation, customer service skills, a smile and a little time.

As a volunteer, your hours of work are flexible and can be fitted into your lifestyle.

You can elect to work in any or all of the three areas of fund raising, tour directing and guest speaking.  However, from time to time you may be asked to help in other areas such as Open Days or major fund raising.

Working in a team provides not only the opportunity to learn extra skills, but to meet new friends whilst at the same time gaining personal satisfaction in helping this vital and worthwhile organisation.
