A 67-year-old Sunshine Coast man has suffered a serious leg injury after his tractor rolled down an embankment trapping him inside.
The Peachester man was slashing grass on his grazing property when the incident occurred late yesterday.
"The tractor was on sloped ground when it tipped and rolled over," ENERGEX Rescue Helicopter CEO Rob Walford said.
"Although the tractor ended up on its wheels, the patient has then become trapped inside the cabin of the tractor until the emergency services arrived."
The man's family raised the alarm with QAS and the ENERGEX Community Rescue Helicopter was rushed to the scene.
"The patient has suffered a fractured left femur and has back pain," Rescue Chopper paramedic Dan Statham said.
"We treated and stabilised the man on scene before airlifting him to Nambour Hospital where he remains in a stable condition."
