Base and Hangars

AGL Action Rescue operates four fully equipped rescue helicopters from our two bases at the Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg airports.

Sunshine Coast.

With a grant from the Federal Government, the new hangar for the Sunshine Coast base opened in 2006.

Covering 1051 square metres, the new base allows for helicopter housing and maintenance, has a simulator room and general office space. As we operate a 24 hour Service, the crew also have sleeping quarters, rest rooms and a relaxing area, as well as a large training/conference room.

Bundaberg.

The Bundaberg chopper operates out of the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) hangar at Bundaberg airport.

All of our choppers and both bases are equipped to allow communication between the choppers, bases and other emergency services.
