Reach our target and help the ENERGEX Community Rescue Helicopter Service.
The Sunshine Coast Helicopter Rescue Service exists to serve the community and in return, enjoys support from the community, coupled with acknowledgement of and appreciation for our work among residents and visitors in the south east Queensland area.
What we do and how we do it are topics of interest to people from all walks of life and varying age groups.
Many school groups visit our hangar throughout the year. In the picture above left, students from Caloundra Christian College gain first hand knowledge of the inside of a rescue helicopter.
The Kenilworth Community First Responders were given an opportunity to learn about the aircraft and aeromedical procedures when the helicopter visited their rural district.
The Pastor and members of the Caloundra Church of Christ brought a much appreciated morning tea to the hangar during Emergency Services support week in May.
In August, members of the Black Uhlans Motorcycle Club presented a cheque following the medical retrieval of one of their members, and transfer of a premature baby related to the same member.
